Trouble with Etsy API key

Hi all,

I'm trying to integrate Etsy into my website using a widget or app. They all require an API key. 

I go through all the steps to create an Etsy app and then it says pending approval. 

The API key keeps saying it's not valid though, and when I look under the "Manage My Apps" they aren't there! Is this a glitch? How can I get a valid API key?

Alternatively, is there a wordpress plug in or widget that doesn't need an API key?

What is Etsy’s API? – Etsy Help

Etsy used to have a widget years ago but that has since gone away.

You probably will have to look for a plug in or site that already has a way to connect.

The API doesn't work on any plug-in because it's not being generated correctly by Etsy.

I have just had a reply from Etsy - they are blaming high demand and large backlog on reviewing API request for approval.  They have provided no ETA.

I’ve been waiting nearly two weeks for an approval but it’s still pending and I can’t find any way of contacting Etsy direct. 
Please could you let me know how you got on and how to make contact if you’ve had success with getting a response.

Hello all. I ended up using the Etsy360 app through wordpress. It doesn't require an API key and it works brilliantly. I even asked the designers for the css to change how the images appear and they let me know. I'm very happy with it!
