Tracking Issue with UK Royal Mail Click and Drop

I ship all of my parcels using Royal Mail. The tracking number for first class usually updates automatically when I log on to Royal Mail to say I have dispatched the item. I make sure that RM scans the package when I drop it off.

On a few occasions this past month, the tracking number has not updated to Etsy - though it says on Etsy reports that the item has shipped.

So.. I have lost my Star Seller status. I used to be able to manually insert the tracking number when this problem occurred before. Now I can't see where I can update and correct this information.

Any suggestions?

Hello @PaivatarYarn,

 

We've double-checked the orders affecting your Star Seller, and we can confirm that they didn't have a tracking number added to them. As a seller from the UK, you'll need to add a valid tracking number on orders that has a value of £10 and above, for them to count positively towards your Star Seller. For more information on how to add a tracking number, you may check out this Help Article

 

On the other hand, if you're using a third-party Integration to automatically add tracking number on your orders. You may want to contact them to further investigate, as to why the tracking number aren't being automatically added to the order.

I believe you only get a limited amount of time to manually enter tracking details (2 days?).  So I would manually enter any future parcel tracking while Royal Mail continues its nightmare strikes!

it's 3 days after marked as dispatched ( which I think is when you purchase the label) to enter the tracking number, after that. it's too late

Hello

Yes, I use Royal Mail Click and Drop 3rd Party Integration. I emailed Royal Mail and they replied that they are aware there is an issue with the tracking integration.

We have identified an issue effecting some of our customers, where Click & Drop would not mark the item as Despatched, but items would progress through without an issue, the one you have provided examples for below. It has been reported to our developers already, and the issue is currently under investigation and unfortunately we have not been given an estimated time of the fix release at the moment.
Please be assured, this is an issue with Click & Drop only, and will not affect any delivery.
