Most of my listings (that I've updated using the new listing form) have bugged thumbnails. The thumbnails I set properly display on my shop home page, but aren't being displayed correctly otherwise. On the search pages, its just the primary photo, uncropped.
With my older listings, (that I made with the old listing form), the thumbnails display exactly the same on both my shop home page and the search pages.
Is anyone else experiencing this? I've tried everything to fix this including updating the aspect ratios, recreating listings, deleting and adding new photos.
Yes, I have noticed this recently.
It seems to happen if you use the thumbnail adjustment tool, which has been problematic since they changed the shop & search thumbnails to square.
I normally use square photos with no adjustment, but occasionally my main image has the object a bit too far away. So I use the thumbnail adjustment and click once on the + zoom.
This had been working quite well until recently, when I found that the search thumbnail did not reflect the zoom at all and the shop thumbnail had too much zoom.
I just tried this (no adjustment) and that seems to be the best option for now. I found the zoom worked too but any type of other adjustments broke it again.
I really hope they fix this so we can have pretty thumbnails again in search!
It is frustrating but I have never had any luck reporting thumbnail problems over the past 9 years.
The Etsy Photo Team seems to be a force unto itself.
I can't even upload ANY photos!
Same issues. I adjust the thumbnails and hit apply and it ends up being shifted to the right or left. I have to do it over and over again and publish to see how it looks. I thought for sure they would hear about it and fix it. Guess not
