I think it's been fairly well established that the thumbnail adjustments don't work for a lot of people. Some of us figured out that square cropping the image slightly first seems to make the adjustment work. Then of course we often have to go back to certain listings and realign time after time as the adjustment doesn't 'hold'. Now that the editing features have changed, this trick no longer works. It's deeply frustrating as it wastes SO much time. Has someone figured out a new trick? Is there anyone at Etsy we can contact? The more voices who raise the issue, the higher chance they might take notice to fix the issue which has been ongoing for ages! I can of cut the image down to a thumbnail size but essentially I'd be posting the same image twice - the original and the zoomed-in image. I should just be able to adjust, zoom in and click.
Any advice?
Thanks!
ive been having the same issue for months but the last two days it has been worse and completely unfixable. The new listings i made just have half the image cut off as the thumbnail and i am not able to fix it at all, not matter how many times i re-adjust it. It looks so unprofessional on my part just leaving it in my store like that.
Same issue. One photo it took 27 attempts to get it to work. I have over 600 listings to edit
Same problem. Hasn't worked for years. Very frustrating.
@OldBagzz It won't work because your photos need to be square or 4:3 at the most. Yours appear to be too large so the thumbnail will not work.
I use 4:3 and the thumbnail works fine.
