I got an email here in Etsy with an outside link to verify my bank account but lead to a EU site and MacBook is telling my it is not a legitment site. I still tried to update it but it now states that my bank is not on their list ?? im not understanding how to get in ouch with Etsy consumer service it keeps taking in circle to the help site
Was this email from Etsy in the FROM ETSY section of your messages or did it come to your general message inbox? If it did, it is a scam. Any emails from Etsy are in a specific section of your messages in the folder titled FROM ETSY. Any bank verifications are done within the payment account settings in your dashboard. In your dashboard there is a section titled HELP and in there at the bottom is the contact Etsy button.
Your shop is not suspended.
@SandyLouCustomDesign This is a scam message. I am sorry you fell for it.
Etsy does not need your email. They already have it.
Spam the message.
I suggest reading the message label about scams and all other pertinent information to stay abreast if scamming issues.
@SandyLouCustomDesign - This from Etsy:

If you ever have any questions about messages you have received regarding your Etsy Shop, come here. Go to your shop manager.
Real messages from Etsy will be in the "from Etsy" box.
Your MacBook was doing its best to warn you. Do a thorough scan of your device. If you gave out any information when trying to reply to the scammers, be sure to stay on top of your bank accounts, etc. Change passwords if necessary.
SCAM
you aren't suspended.
if you gave the scammer any info, you need to contact your bank and such IMMEDIATELY.
The “outside link” is a big red flag. Why would Etsy want to go off Etsy and talk to an Etsy seller about their finances for their Etsy shop?
This may be a scam. Check again that the message is from etsy. There is a tab from etsy in the message section.
I would say scam, did you look at your shop, its up and running just fine.
Unless you have more than one shop???
@SandyLouCustomDesign Hi, Here is an Announcement about the "From Etsy" Folder (currently, this resides in past Announcements).
https://community.etsy.com/t5/Announcements/New-From-Etsy-section-in-Messages/m-p/143722497#M1899
There has been an infestation of them here unfortunately, targeting new Sellers as well as seasoned ones. Oftentimes, they appear shortly after someone lists their first item/s. These thieves are using "Verification" as one of their scams, posing as Etsy Staff/Support, etc. Or they claim your Shop is suspended (what happened to you). When you receive a LEGIT Message from Etsy Support/Staff, etc., it will appear in the "From Etsy" Folder (in Messages). If it isn't there, Mark the Message as Spam (so you don't get dinged for S Seller). *The "From Etsy" Folder is not on the App, however (you must use a browser instead).
Also for future, many scammers are posing as "Buyers", stating they need your email for an Order. They don't, Etsy already has it. When you receive a LEGIT Order, it will appear in "Orders & Shipping" (Left Column of Shop Dashboard); if it isn't there, you have no Order. Mark the scammer's Message as Spam (so you don't get dinged for S Seller). And never click on links or engage with them. I really don't understand why Etsy can't nail these FAKE accounts who are impersonating Etsy Staff/Support, etc. It's happening way too often.
Hope this is helpful to you, and may this garbage cease.
@SandyLouCustomDesign your shop has not been suspended. You received a SCAM message. Please contact your bank ASAP to let them know your account information has been compromised!
Don't respond to them - it's a scam. I nearly fell for it too - it's quite convincing! Etsy does not send emails like this. I wish they would warn people!!
That is a scam, if you shared your info contact your bank asap!
