The category selection button does not work when listing new products. When I wanted to list a new product, when I clicked on that box while choosing a category, suggestions were coming up or a clickable category would appear. But now, whatever we do to that box, it comes out empty. Anyone experiencing this problem? how do we solve ? Thank You

It doesn't work & wouldn't save a draft. So frustrated! Will list somewhere else.

Found a solution (on PC) - Start Typing your category, hit the down arrow on your keyboard until you see the right one highlighted in grey, then hit enter. It seems it's the mouse click that isn't registering.

I finally got a representative that gave me good advice. If you’re using the new template switch back to the old and it works! Yay

I just found that out, I also think that you can use the new version as long as you copy a listing in the same catagory and just change the information.

The same thing is happening to me, so I switched to the old version. It let me put in my category. I would rather use the new version but it is the only way I can put on a listing. I know nothing about this old vesion and I just hope I figure it out so I can list.

Switch back to the old version.  There is some glitch in the new.  Do you use a Mac?

Just came here to report I had the same issue today.  Would not let me launch any new listings because the category wouldn't take.  Switched to old version and had no problems.

I get the same problem in the old version occasionally. Usually if I refresh the page, it will work the second time. But sometimes it is stuck for hours.

Still not working. Have entered everything else with lots of images, think I may be about to loose the lot. Very frustrating

Switch to old version. It's working there. You can switch in the blue bar on the top listing page.

Been having this problem for off and on for a couple of weeks now.  Old version won't show anything I type in.  New version--if I find the right category I copy it and then paste in the box.  Works most of the time.  Have also used the hint to just find a listing in the same category and do a duplicate listing.  Makes for a big waste of time!!

I’m having the same issues. Can’t list anything. Also my shop sections usually won’t show up either so I can’t add new listings to sections.

I cannot believe this has been an issue for well over a year, with the only solution "just use the old template". Etsy, come on.

I'm having the same problem on April 4, 2024. So irritating because you can't save your work without the field being selected.
