I have a significant issue to report to the Etsy team, but the only way they offer to contact them is through the support chat.
It hasn't been working for several days. In my last conversation, there was no "end of communication." The typical support rating did not appear.
Now the chat is not working, and I don't know how to get in touch with them.
I just went through the options that seemed might get me somewhere

updating or verifying my bank account
Trouble updating my bank account
I still need help
It says available 24/7, which means you can use it 24/7
but it also says
typical wait time 1-2 days

If they have not responded, you can chase them up

you can see your call log
and reply there that you are still having a problem.
Don't open another, keep chasing the same one.

Before posting on the Forums, please check if you are not bumping an old thread that hasn't seen any activity in a while. You can do this by looking at the dates of the most recent replies.

Chat can only answer questions already in the Etsy Seller's Handbook, anyway. Otherwise, they will email Etsy on your behalf. You can do that from the Etsy Help screen yourself. Good luck on gettting an answer from them that isn't a canned response, though. If you have the option for a Call Back (not everyone does), I have found that to be the quickest way to get ahold of a real person, who can sometimes help, but not always. For technical issues, you can post in the Tech forum and that is sometimes monitored by Etsy employees.
Whenever I have a problem with my shop I access an agent via chat, I only get automatic replies on startup. Also, this is the ‘Technical-Issues’ forum, isn't this where my problem should be dealt with? xD

We are mostly other sellers and cannot fix anything. The best we can do is give you a work around if there is one.
Etsy employees are supposed to be monitoring this forum, but their appearance is fairly rare. If it is like the rest of Etsy support, I wouldn't count on them solving your problem.
It would be better to report it in an Email from the Help screen. If they get enough complaints, they may look into it.
They are totally useless. Unbelievably challenging to get hold of.

if you really need help from etsy, I would go the e-mail route and bypass the outsourced chat that only read from scripts
The chat access you have given me is the same as the one that appears to me, however I have never found access to email communication except now that you have given it to me.
In any case, by email, I have not yet received a reply. Maybe it's because it's the weekend, but they say they are 24/7.

It's strange, yesterday I could access the chat from your link although it was just a test, today when I really need it, it doesn't appear.

As of today's date June 21st 2024.Chat support is not working. This has been going on for over 2 weeks now. I'm aStar Seller, so I do have access normally. Has anyone heard anyone from Etsy reqarding this?
If the last conversation wasn’t properly ended, you can start a new conversation with them by sending “Chat to an agent”. I’ve found that this triggers the Etsy support bot, which then connects you to a live agent.
I think the method you mentioned is effective! But it does not respond immediately after input. For example, I input at 14:00, and the agent contacted me at 19:00. I hope this information can help people in need!
