Temporary hold on funds

Out of nowhere, Etsy put a temporary hold on my funds "while we verify your info" except I haven't been prompted to verify, there's no flag telling me to upload documents, no response to support ticket and now it's been over five weeks. No one can give me answers as to why this is happening or an estimate of when my funds will be released. 

I've been a successful full time Etsy seller for nine years, a star seller consistently since it was rolled out, no IP infringement issues, no sudden influx in sales, never prompted to verify and I still haven't been contacted by Etsy at all. 

Please help.

I've spoken the Etsy chat multiple times, they don't know and just tell me to wait the 48 hours even though I've explained it's been weeks.

Did you look for an email?

You may need to correct your seller details.  You need to include your address not just location.  Etsy may be needing other verification for the Inform Act.

I've never received any emails or prompts, there's no red banners telling me what to correct, my details, location address etc all say verified.

Has anyone had anything like this happen? Did they ever release your funds? Has anyone hired a lawyer about something like this?

Based on my current experience with Etsy requesting documents due to my last name change (I got married), their team appears to be wildly incompetent as I have sent my driver's license and marriage certificate. Yet they keep asking for more documents to "verify".

Stanley, was your temporary hold on funds issue ever resolved? How was it resolved? I'm facing the same issue, and whenever I contact support, they just tell me that there's no problem with my account and that they've forwarded my ticket to the relevant team. But the team hasn't responded it's been almost a month now. If you could help by sharing how your issue was resolved, I would really appreciate it.
