Technical difficulty

Second day of not letting me list new items for sale. Can’t contact Etsy for live chat. The option doesn’t come up in the HELP section. Anyone else having this problem?

Re: Technical difficulty

Try using the duplicate feature on one of your current listings.

Re: Technical difficulty

If it's the core details there are lots of sellers having the same problem. If at all possible I would do as NanaLetha says and chose something similar in a use the copy feature that up in the right hand corner of the listing page. It's a little easy to get mixed up when I do this, so delete the title of the one you're copying from the header and be sure the on you're working on has the save to draft option!!

Re: Technical difficulty

Don’t use the app.  Use a browser.

Re: Technical difficulty

@VintageVenueByMary   @Teresasvintageempori  As NanaLetha and LynnsLittleShop said, try taking a similar listing and:

Copy > Publish, then Deactivate > Make your edits > Reactivate
(Try not doing anything with Drafts). Hope this helps.

ETA: I just saw your post on the other Thread  re: speaking to Chat. That the Core Details Page is frozen, and they have teams trying to restore it.
I hope they get this fixed soon.

Re: Technical difficulty

I listed a new product yesterday using a desktop and chrome browser. I did not have any problems. I suspect the problem for some is that some type of what Etsy considers to be critical information is not being selected in the core details.

I just pretended I was creating a new listing just now and there weren't any problems in the core details. However, I did notice that when I would check one thing off the core details list would suddenly offer another group of questions. Make sure you aren't missing something that way.

Re: Technical difficulty

@ChillwolfArt -- did you know?  you do not have to publish a copy first before editing it.  Any listing can be copied, edited, and then published.

As for the core details issue ... click on create listing, the box opens up and you can click on the right hand side scroll bar to move it up or down to get to all the fields and fill out all the details.  I use chrome on a laptop and have no issues.

Re: Technical difficulty

@TBQSC  Thank You. The reason I first Published then Deactivated mine (to make the edits), is when I had many edits. If I only had a few quick edits, I did as you said (Copy > Edit > Publish). I should have mentioned that.

Re: Technical difficulty

@ChillwolfArt that is so funny, I use the copy feature on all my pattern listings, the only thing I look to be the same is the size(s) and category, otherwise I change everything else!

Re: Technical difficulty

@VintageVenueByMary  It's been fixed.  If you still can't, close out and clean out cache and cookies.
