I got a message just after opening my shop that first has two separate messages that together make up what looks like a url. Then the following:
Congratulations! Your item has been purchased.
Order ID: #23900041. The order has been paid for.
We estimate delivery will take approximately 4-7 business days.
Check information.
Copy the two messages above and go to the page.

I assume if I copied the two messages and went to the url it would be a virus or something so I haven’t, but I am new to selling so I want to check that it’s not something normal or a required verification thing from Etsy.
Has anyone had a similar message?

Hola me han suspendido mi cuenta,me podrian dar una explicación, he intentar solucionarlo. Un cordial saludo.
It's definitely a scam.
Good for you that you were careful and didn't click on anything!
Your shop shows no sales, so the first place to look for any new sales is on your dashboard, page left, under ORDERS you'll see an orange dot with a little number in it.

Yes, and while not as many as about a year ago, they are still coming, especially targeting new shops because the scammers count on newbies not knowing how the site works.
I received that same message right after I opened my shop
I just received one from an actual store with great reviews. I think their account was compromised.
@kapepeoluolu yes, it's entirely possible that they've been hacked. Mark it as spam.
@TheMissingMaskArt Be sure to read about intellectual property and fan art. People's names and likeness, movies and series titles... These items require licenses, otherwise it's IP infringement that puts your (new and unfinished) shop at risk. No wonder you receive messages from scammers.
I keep receiving the same message from random etsy users too. I just mark it as spam because when I check the orders section its empty. Thats how I know I don't have any orders yet.
I think there were more last year, it was getting to be a real nuisance, then they quit about the end of this month.
Maybe they had to do their taxes?
Just dont click the links!
Best of luck.
When I open my new store and every time I upload a new product I get messages like this and this, they don't stop.
