Hello,
I am reaching out to report a suspicious message I received that appears to be related to Etsy’s payment services.
The message claims that a minimum available balance of 500 USD is required on my card in order to proceed with verification for Etsy payments. It also states that no funds will be withdrawn and that this is a security measure.
This request seems unusual and potentially fraudulent. I would like to confirm whether this communication is genuinely from Etsy, or if it is a phishing attempt.
Please let me know if you need a screenshot or further details to investigate.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Mehdi BOUSLILA

If you receive an actual order, you will see it in your "Orders and Shipping" section and you will receive an email from Etsy notifying you that you have a sale, and there will be a notification in your dashboard as well.
Think about it. You aren't buying anything - why do you have to have money in your account (especially a specific amount)?
You don't. The buyer is the one that needs to have the money.
PS: Not in any way connected to Etsy's payment service.
Don't click on links and don't give out any financial information! Even Etsy doesn't require you to have money.
Genuine messages from Etsy only appear in the "From Etsy" folder on your messages page.
