I have sent emails to the support team. They never got back to me. I tried live chat as well. But, no one on the chat responded.
This seems to be the new standard. I have a help ticket open and have been waiting 7 weeks for a reply. I reply to the ticket every few days with "I still need help" but it seems nobody is home at Etsy.
Yes, seller support is non-existent. The most one can hope for is a canned, non-responsive email.
It's interesting, one of their "Chief" something officers posted today everything they're doing for us and said they were adding hundreds of support people to help answer requests timely. I was going to suggest they quit changing their algorithms and expecting us to offer $6 shipping and up the price of our products to make it "appear" that they're offering low cost shipping. HOWEVER, when I hit "Reply," no box came up to even reply. I thought maybe the computer needed refreshing, so I refreshed it. No box. Went to another computer and tried it. No reply box. Doesn't this just sum up Etsy currently?
@AyOOliveOil: "... said they were adding hundreds of support people ..." But they don't really say when they will be added or how many will be BUYER support and how many will be SELLER support? Based on many posts in this forum, the issue is not really how many support people there are but how much knowledge about the Etsy ecosystem they have and how much ability and authority to 'fix' things they are granted.
No support anymore!
I don't know if this would end up hurting a shop, so it's only something that occurs to me... but I would be tempted to post my problem on Twitter. I mean X. And put "Etsy" and "EtsyAdmin" in as hashtags. But who knows if Etsy would punish the sender... yeah, we have to think of that stuff now, I guess. Crying shame.
