I sent Etsy 600 dollars
I put 300 on a gift card like I was informed to do by Etsy.
I did that twice and both times Etsy took the money and ran
Etsy has never asked me, or anyone to my knowledge, to put money on a gift card.
Sounds like you are the victim of a phishing scam. Did you mail the gift cards?
"...I put 300 on a gift card like I was informed to do by Etsy..."
Huh?
I think you've been scammed, but not by Etsy?
Your post makes little sense without more details or some context.
Why did you send etsy $600 in the first place? If you sent it how was it stolen? Were you paying a bill? Were you making a purchase? Were you purchasing an etsy gift card?

Is this post about the same issue? It's all a bit confusing as your posts aren't very clear which makes it difficult for any of us to try to help. Since you never returned to your other posts I'm not really sure if you will return to this one and clarify or not.
Was this an Etsy gift card or a CC gift card like Visa or similar?
It sounds a brand new seller is the victim of a scam.
Oh no. Don't like the sound of this.
Ok, @CoinsBySloane looking at your previous posts, you don't seem to come back and explain.
Nobody can steer you in the right direction, without more details.
One of his other threads mentions a $650 instant withdrawal. What the heck does that mean? (I don't expect you to answer that)
the gift card scam.
grrr.
did someone say they were sending you extra money for buying and sending the gift cards with the item.
to a different address?
How did you send Etsy $600.00?
I'm hoping this is a prepaid debit card in order to sell on Etsy that the OP is trying to describe, looking at their other posts.
TVP?
@CoinsBySloane If you go to your Profile under Gift Card Balance is there an amount showing? By the way, you really should change your Announcement.
It sounds like you were scammed with one of the oldest tricks around. Etsy isn’t going to tell you to send a gift card with the purchase. If someone asked you to take a transaction off of Etsy and you did, Etsy won’t be able to help you. It’s totally out of their hands.
On another note, you should have those coins verified by NCGS or one of the other services so potential buyers can get an idea of their value.
You got scammed, but not by etsy. NEVER pay with anything by buying a "gift card" for anyone.
And you can't "send" money to etsy. You make a payment through your account. You need to contact the authorities for internet fraud.
Wow, you got scammed, but not by Etsy. Etsy does not ask sellers to send them money or gift cards. You fell for a classic "catfish" scam.
Just curious. After the first time, wasn't there a clue that this was a total scam?
Sadly, people who fall for scams once are targeted heavily for future and/or repeat scams since the scammers see you as an easy mark. They will even sell your info with other scammers.
that's what I was thinking. hope he doesn't go for a third time.
you need to contact Etsy asap. https://help.etsy.com/hc/de/sections/360000066568-Etsy-kontaktieren?segment=selling#360000066568
It sounds like you fell for a scammer.
Here is how Etsy gift vouchers work: https://etsy.com/giftcards?ref=ftr
Everything else is bogus.
