HI Everyone, Since deleting my Browsing History on my laptop I'm having to sign in to Etsy every time. As I'm checking my shop multiple times a day this is getting very irritating especially as an email lands in my inbox every time. I have "Stay signed in" checked and have tried unchecking and rechecking it but nothing is happening. Any advice gratefully accepted please....
It sounds like you have changed a browser setting or Windows setting on your computer so it is deleting the information every time you log out. I would check that out.
There was a time several years ago when sellers did report being signed out by Etsy but that was several years ago and since no reports prior in the forums until yours today, it could be a problem on your end with your browser or the signal that this going to start happening again.

@PrimFun Ah yes! My hubby and I share the same Browser (I'm 74 so not very tech savvy). He had started picking up on things I'd been searching for. Nothing dodgy I might add. So I did change some settings to delete Browsing History every time and other things that I can't remember what they were. So will find them again and change them back. MOH is even less savvy then me so is happy to share my Accounts and email address etc. It's hard when you didn't grow up with computers...
I have the opposite - I unclick 'stay signed in' every time, but I still have to log out when I'm done for now.
@ButterflyFeetDigital: The "stay signed in" generally affects the session cookie of a site. Usually you have to close the browser to not stay signed in unless you actually log out.
That’s pretty normal. As I do that in my on my phone but clearing browser history means you have to login again.
@InkSplashDesign1 I am used to having to sign in again whenever I clear Browsing History. Then once I've done that I normally stay signed in, but this was having to sign in every time I visited my Dashboard and getting loads of emails for each sign in. It seems to have gone back to normal now and I'm staying signed in. I never sign out. Is there a reason I should do?
Have you tried checking to see if the Chrome browser is up to date? You have to go into the settings (three dots) and then go to About Chrome. If you are on an older version of Chrome, that could be the issue. I know that Chrome doesn't really notify you, and you have to check to see if there is an update.
You can try chore browser and backup then you may not have to repeat when entering account because google feature can help backup history.
@InkSplashDesign1 Thank-you, I use Microsoft Edge and I've checked and it's up to date. All is working OK now, not having to sign in every time. Thank-you to everyone that helped...
