Star seller - missing tracking?

Hi, two questions: I have one order that I hand delivered locally, so I had them use a free shipping promo code and did not create a label. Unfortunately there was no tracking to add. This affected my shipping score but I understand. How should I handle this in the future?

But the actually problem… yesterday I printed a label through Etsy and dropped the package to the post office. Now my star seller says I have 2 labels without tracking and my score dropped again. But when I click the label from yesterday, the tracking number is attached. How do I get this error corrected.

For the first one, if you hand deliver, there is no tracking so you will get dinged by Etsy. Some forum posters have said you can buy a flat rate regular envelope label and mail them an invoice and use that tracking number, but I haven't tried it. Maybe someone who mails small flat items  will chime in here.  

In the second case, sometimes it takes being scanned at the first post office or even the second stop for the tracking number to update. I would just keep an eye on it and hopefully it will correct itself.

@AnArbitraryArtifact: Often recent shipments are not correctly / timely updated. Always check the applicable CSV file, don't rely on the summary. Usually a day or two after the package has been scanned the CSV file correctly shows tracking and shipment status and the Star Seller stats auto update.

As mentioned, all physical listing orders must include a valid tracking number or a shipping label purchased on Etsy to be considered for a Star Seller badge.
