Star seller messages count - makes me crazy!

How do I go from 98% in July to 75% overnight in August???  And when I checked the history, this was based entirely on 4 messages in June - 1 of which came after 24 hours!  I'm so pissed off.  This clearly seems like a mistake and now it will take forever to climb back up to 95% in messages. So frustrating.  I work so hard to take great care of my customers and Etsy' s miscalculations hurt me unfairly.

To be honest, I doubt that it will hurt your shop AT ALL. I’ve had the Star every month since it began but last month I missed out for not answering a message (a message sent to myself when testing messages lol) and guess what?

No purple star but my best month so far this year. Crazy and definitely not worth being upset about - just carry on being great to your customers!

Star seller is based on the previous three months. So everything prior to May dropped off. August score was for May, June and July. September will be for June, July and August.

It might have hurt your feelings but it did nothing to your shop - absolutely nothing. The purple blob is completely meaningless

The scores will always change on the first of the month, because an entire month's worth of data is no longer counted.

when you look at star sellers dashboard,

 it shows PROGRESS for SEPTEMBER

so it has June, July, and August to date - which is only a few days.

If you click on last review period, you have the information for May, June, and July.... all three whole months that were counted for the August badge

......

so, for your - Progress for September, all your Mays dropped off, and you are gradually adding Augusts, and they will continue to add, until the end of the month, when etsy will do it's actual calculation for the badge for September

Etsy is NOT miscalculating, it is working as intended
