I'm new to etsy and didn't realize I can mark a message as spam. If you look at my message history, someone contacted me asking for product for free. I never answered and it's counting against me. I'd like that to be reversed as I answer all buyer messages immediately. Thank you in advance.

@3dSolutions3d: Probably everyone in this forum can sympathize with you but as it states on your Star Seller page you MUST reply to the first message of a new thread within 24 hours. It does not matter who sent it, the subject matter, if it is a duplicate or blank or anything else. If it is SPAM then it should be marked as such.
At least for the time being, it appears that marking an unanswered message as SPAM (even after the 24 hour deadline has passed) will cause your reply percentage to change in a day or two if the original message was within the current star seller period. But be aware that doing so may cause you to miss other messages from that account.
Etsy won't reverse it.
If it's not too old you can go back and mark as spam.
You need to reply to all messages no matter who they are from or whether they are duplicates etc. Etsy bots don't know who sent them or why they just see an unanswered message.
