Change currency in the shop? I'm unclear why a shop owner would change currency when a) buyers set their currency and b) a seller is paid in the currency of their country hence currency exchange rate would apply. Guess I'm out of the loop on this.
As to slowness, it could be your ISP or it could be Etsy server. Try cleaning out cache and cookies and rebooting,
