I look at all messages within 24 hours and my message rating was 96% today and it was the day of all star seller rating, my message rating suddenly dropped to 92%, I don't understand why this happened when they should have given me the fast message badge. Looking at messages is not enough. You must respond to each new message, or mark it as spam if that is what it is.
The whole idea is to encourage sellers to respond quickly to buyer enquiries, and the program is automated. No-one reads your messages to determine whether they require a response, the program simply checks the receipt times and response times to determine whether you respond within the 24 hr requirement. Even if you feel it doesn't need a response, or it is a duplicate of a message you have already handled previously, you must either answer or mark it as spam within the 24 hrs. You can save simple responses as snippets in the message area, and just add them to the message with one click.
