Star seller badge / message response

 I downloaded my message response list as my star seller rating says I did not answer a message in 24 hours but I think I did . It was on June 4 , I received and answered on June 4 but Etsy say I did nt so I do not reach my star seller target . Customer service cannot help which I find very unhelpful, they told me to add it to this forum . I have sent them a screenshot of my answer . Please can someone help .

Hello there,

Kindly know that Etsy Support can’t make changes to your Star Seller data or manually award Star Seller badges. But sellers are re-evaluated on the 1st of every month, so even though you did not obtain the Star Seller badge, your shop will have opportunities in the coming months.

 

When responding to a message, we previously recommend replying via Etsy Messaging(Shop Manager > Messages). This way, you would see the existing thread that the buyer has created.


We understand that multiple or duplicate message threads can be challenging to manage. To help with this, in June 2022, we introduced a new-and-improved Messages experience that will start to combine messages from the same buyer into a single thread. You can learn more about that and some other exciting changes here.

Yes, the customer service rep may have even read this highlighted portion: "Etsy Support can’t make changes to your Star Seller data or manually award Star Seller badges. If you think your Star Seller score was calculated incorrectly, you can let us know in the Technical Issues forum."

However, these forums are all peer to peer. Those replying here can try to help other shop owners with many problems, but errors in calculating the star seller badge really is not one of them.

You say this message is from June 4th. You can try and mark it as Spam now & see what happens to your stats - that's the only thing I can suggest if you are trying for a repeat month of star seller.

I am also having issues with the program. I don’t know why Etsy is doing this it would be best if they let the reviews speak for themselves.

I am sorry this is happening. I am also having issues with the program. I don’t know why Etsy is doing this it would be best if they let the reviews speak for themselves. Most of us are literally one person doing everything and these are not realistic expectations in my opinion. L
