Star Seller

Jump to solution

Hi

I worked very hard to get star seller and had a review where the buyer said the postage company had ripped the envelope (he didn't message me first sadly) I lost my star seller the next month.

Now all kinds of caveats have been put in by Etsy - sell 5, sell over £200 to get it back - I messaged Etsy to ask why I had lost it really as it wasn't my fault and if the buyer would have reached out I would have sorted first.

She replied it was nothing to do with that and said that because I hadn't responded to 2 emails out of 112 within 24 hours.  I checked and they haven't so I asked again - she then said this"Your badges were removed because your account was limited"

Then I asked why she didn't really answer then said "Congrats! You earned the Star Seller badge!"

You earned the Star Seller badge

x says: Rest assured, you have already eraned the star seller badge
x says: but I haven't got it now have I?

x says: Yes

I then said  it doesn't say so on my platform

and she ended the conversation

I am beyond frustrated now - as the conversation made no sense at all - and it still says I haven't got star seller so what is going on? anyone....

There is no way to escalate this whatsoever is there?

"Now all kinds of caveats have been put in by etsy..."

Those caveats have been in place since star seller started. In fact, they adjusted them a bit since it started. It used to be 10 sales and they reduced it to 5. As mentioned above, you have to reach those minimums first (5 sales and $300) to be eligible for the star or individual badges.

As far as the conversation with support goes...it sounds like you did a live chat? If so they are just a call center and work with a script and very often give incorrect and/or conflicting information. It can be very confusing and frustrating for sure. Oh and yes, they will just disconnect and end the conversation even if it isnt finished.

You have none of the mini badges, which suggests you didn't make 5 sales or didn't get £200 worth of sales in the last review period (June July and August). These are the first 2 metrics you have to meet. (It used to be 10 sales, they lowered it to 5). If you don't meet these, you don't get a chance to be SS.

You only had 1 review in the last review period (June July and August) being a 4 star = 4.0 average
