I did not received star seller based on my review percentage. My customer rated me a one due to shipping being delayed. I don't understand how a 1 review would bring my rating down to 4.2% from 5.0%. I reached out to the customer and asked her to review me for my item and not for shipping because it was no fault of mines. She changed her review on 11/30/22 to a 5. But it doesn't reflect the changed in my stats. I've just received another review today and now my rating is 3.7% when the review was 5. This doesn't make since to me. I'm not getting the correct rating for my reviews.
It counts 3 months of reviews. So, as of the first of the month, your 5 star reviews from September dropped off so that is why it dropped lower because that low review carries more weight in the percentage since you lost your older 5 stars from September. Since the review was changed on the 30th, it might take time to update. I believe Etsy does adjust the percentage to reflect the revised review but not positive about that. I don't think they will retroactively award the lost star status. If the review was updated earlier in the month, you probably would have been good to go but since it was so late it probably won't give you the star for this month. Since you only have a couple of reviews, one lower review will knock down the percentage more than a shop that has a lot of reviews because it is a percentage.
The 3 month average is only used for star seller calculations. I believe the overall average is still displayed on your shopfront.
@VettesCustomWreath: How many reviews did you have during the three month period considered for star seller? If it was only a few, then one "bad" review will make a larger impact. And we do not know how long it takes for a revised review to be considered (if at all).
Ok that make sense. It was only 5 reviews and 4 was 5 stars and 1 was a 1 star that was changed to a 5 star.

Why in the world doesn’t Etsy calculate reviews from day one when the shop is opened on Etsy like every website in this world? Why are they reevaluating reviews every month? Makes zero sense and leaves FALSE average ratings.
