Star Seller inaccurate calculation

Jump to solution

I did not receive my star seller badge this month due to message response rate being 0% out of 0 messages.

If I receive no messages due to customers not needing assistance, does that disqualify me from being a star seller?  Plus I message every buyer when their item ships, so usually any inquiries are coming back to me after I have already reached out.

Also, I do know that I did respond to messages with questions in April every time within a few hours of receipt.

thank you!

@3DPixelandPrint: Star Seller is calculated and awarded only on the 1st of each month, and on that day it must have been more than 90 days since your first sale, then you need to have met the order quantity and volume requirements during the preceding three month period, and only then are the other metrics considered.

A Message response rate of "---%" (nothing to calculate) will not prevent you from receiving Star Seller, just the responses badge. A response rate of "0%" means that there was at least one new incoming thread that you did not reply to (or mark as spam) within 24 hours.

The review period for current star seller was Jan-Feb-Mar - not April.

I have 6 sales for Jan feb & March, and I should be at star seller status.

You have no badges at all which means you did not make the min of $300 in sales.

I am sorry - I meant to say March, not April.
I see - so it is because I didn’t meet the sales requirement, the message I recieved made it seem like it was due to my message response rate. Thank you!

So what happens when you have met all the criteria and not being awarded customer serve badge, even though it shows 100% and therefore are not getting Star Seller.  There have been so many posts about this situation.  Is someone from Etsy and not someone from the forum looking into this?
