The Star Seller Stats page used to show number of sales and the current dollar amount of sales. Why is it no longer there? I often use an iPhone to list items, send messages and so on. Now that the Customer Service has been added, there is no way for me to easily see the sales & dollar amount towards the badge. I don’t have a high volume of sales and my pricing is different on each listing as a Vintage Seller. It’s harder to know where I stand in regard to the badge. Is it only viewable on a PC? Or, is it not visible anymore? Since it’s a requirement, I think it should be easily checked. Any comments on this inconvenient change?
Click on review orders and sales
I think it goes away when you've met the minimum amount of sales.
@CassidyCurios: Unless something has changed, the sales quantity and volume only showed on the Star Seller page until you first meet the minimum requirements, and does not reappear even if you subsequently fall below.
It's not present because you made the amount of sales needed and the amount of funds needed. It will reappear if you fall under 5 and/or $300.
No need to keep track of it.
@PillowDetails That’s true but Etsy has now hidden where you can see it before you make the minimum.
If a Shop has met the $300.00 / % Orders threshold, the details will not show, just as before. If a Shop has not met these thresholds, ook for a "Blue Box" under "Check your daily progress" and above the Stats for Shipping/Reviewa/Mesages/Cases
At the end of the "blurb written in small print (bolded) there is Review sales and revenue with a small, right pointing arrow.
That opens the details for Revenue and Orders for the Review Period.
Well, I had made Star Seller a few months ago, but I lost it because someone sent me two messages after I didn't want to interact with them anymore (due to them calling me names, etc.) During the weekends, I had been limited to using my iPhones and tablet to run my Etsy shop (and each iPhone and the tablet, and the PC that I can use during the week has the Etsy app appearing differently--which is very annoying.) During a weekend, and the end of a month, and the beginning of a new month. This person who was running a shop that had misleading listings and an unkind insulting personality, they sent me two messages after we'd been going over our disagreement for two days. When the two messages were sent, they somehow were now considered first messages (with no indication of that to me,) and it really destroyed my response record. There was a case involved and a customer service person--but, no one told me that those were now both "new" messages magically. Even though I asked Etsy for more help or explanation, they once sent me to the Forum, where I read that messages are a different color if they are new---not for me they weren't. And then just ignored my questions. So, I've been basically waiting for those two months to drop off. So, I made Star Seller again, for now. At all times I have been able to see my order numbers and sale total on the page about Star Seller badges. Now, instead, there is a "Customer Service" box about how many cases you have. So, CarpetCollectionAU, I'm at a PC atm, so I can see that the blue box is both on the PC screen and my iPhone--and I thank you for pointing me in a direction that allows me to see that, I am short by almost $100 and one order, so I might make it. It's hard to know. BTW, the shop that had misleading listings, just has a different name now, but the same scammy listings. Thanks everyone for discussing my post. I appreciate all of your input.
you have to reply - or mark them as spam
If it is not a "help request" through the order, mark them as spam, and they can't contact you that way anymore
For a case, if the order was fully refunded and cancelled, they can't contact you via the order - help request , any more either
....
once you reach the $300 or 5 sales in 3 months, those go away for everyone, as you have reached the threshold
So they contacted me about the order twice, and since they can't contact me "through" the order, it ruined my response rate. I know this now, but I certainly didn't know it then. Some of the rules are not spelled out that well. Such as, I had a buyer who I was urging to start a case--this was due to unfortunate breakage in transit. I stopped hearing back, but when she messaged me later on, I realized that the rules are probably written by AI--at least in that section. The buyer sent me notice that they were going to start a case, but that according to the rules, I couldn't message her back for 48 hours. I knew that this was a misreading of the rules, but I reread them at that point, and they were not clear. (I explained that I could not ignore her message for 48 hours and gave her more info. on the system. That was resolved with not problems after the initial misunderstanding.)
I want to thank you and everyone else who mentioned using the spam button, etc. I learned the hard way. At that time, I also was unable to do more that read in the Forum. I had only asked Etsy about six times for help with that. And those requests were not addressed.
@CassidyCurios: "... I realized that the rules are probably written by AI ..." Actually we always felt that the rules are written by a lawyer, and then continually rewritten until another lawyer could not say definitively what they said.
"I had only asked Etsy about six times for help with that." In minor defense of the support people, and based on the many posts in these forums, I suspect that the information they are provided is no better or more in depth than what we sellers receive in the Help Pages. And perhaps even more limited.
@BagmakerSupply I suspect you are correct.
When on "Chat" recently I was able to "copy and paste" information from the TOUs / Handbook faster than the Customer Support Rep.
It was a hilarious "chat"
ME: My issue is .......
CS: I will be happy to help...
ME: Before you copy and paste your reply I have already read ................
CS: ......copies and pastes the exact same verbiage I have just already posted
ME: Thank-you, but I have already said I know that. I also know ...............
CS: .copies and pastes the exact same verbiage I have already posted
ME: I already know that ..... I have also read ............
And so went the "chat" until the CS Rep admitted defeat and agreed to pass the problem to the "specialist team!!!!!!!!
