Hi Team. I've been directed to this forums after a chat with Etsy Support.
The support member I spoke with has verified that a number of orders have been incorrectly flagged in the Star Seller matrix as having no processing time. As the Support Team were unable to fix this directly, I've been advised to reach out to the Technical Support Forum here regarding a manual correction for these incorrectly flagged orders and to restore my On-Time Dispatch and Tracking rating.
Thanks!
@riamelin: This is an on going issue that has been reported numerous times recently in this forum where some orders "lose" their processing time. There is a November 2022 response ("solution") from an Etsy Admin to this issue at https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Missed-star-seller-due-to-apparently-missing-processi...
Based on other posts in this forum, the ability to have this corrected by support seems to be rather hit or miss depending on who you get.
Unfortunately Etsy has made it clear that they will not manually adjust Star Seller stats. However they have sometimes been able to correct errors in the underlying data and then the Star Seller stats will auto update (but not retroactively).
A suggestion was made to NOT mention Star Seller as doing so seems to negatively affect the ability to get these kinds of issues resolved. It seems that support people (and the Virtual Assistant) are taught to direct people to this forum as soon as Star Seller is mentioned.
Thank you for the link @BagmakerSupply. A data correction is indeed what I was looking for.
I see that this has been happening for a good few years now, so it's disappointing to hear that other people are being pushed onto the Technical Forum to report something that seems to be clearly known about, and even more so when the best solution available is to not mention the underlying problem in the first place. Having the Virtual Assistant give out assurances that the issue can be investigated and resolved by the Technical Team here is an extra kick in the teeth.
I wouldn't normally be too concerned about the odd data blip. As this bug has managed to hit a disproportionate amount of orders in the past month and I'm really close to falling under the 80% "Service Standard" that is being pushed however, I would really like to find some way to get some underlying corrections made in the short term while this issue gets resolved. Having the Service Standard show as "BETA" but not being able to mention it in order to get an issue fixed is wild!
Thanks for the reply!
