Star Seller Shipping Discrepancy - digital only

I only sell digital items and created a custom listing for a customer for an additional design. The only option when you create a private listing from the app includes shipping. Once I completed the order I obviously didn't put shipping in there since it is digital and now Etsy is pinging me as 0 for shipping and I didn't get the badge

@liviandloladesign   You should have created a made to order digital for the buyer.  And not use the physical listing custom for creation. Since no shipping unfortunately you will take a hit on this one.   Sorry.

@liviandloladesign: When you created the custom digital order did you follow the procedure outlined on https://community.etsy.com/t5/Announcements/We-ve-improved-our-made-to-order-digital-listing-experie... ?

Not much to do to fix your score because virtually all physical listings require tracking for Star Seller.

I clicked on create custom listing from the message with the buyer and it doesn't give you the option for physical or digital unfortunately.

You can't set up a private digital listing from a message in general. Even if you use a browser. It's limited to physical listings. For US sellers, every physical listing requires tracking. Since this was a physical listing, you were rightly dinged for not having tracking...

@dippeldiundscribble I understand that, it was an honest mistake on my part for not looking into it more. I was rushed and just created straight from the message. It should have the open to hit digital or physical.

@WASDAStore: You are posting on a six month old thread. The 'mistake' would have fallen off the stats months ago.

If you are having an issue, you may want to start a new thread with details as the Etsy moderators tend to close old threads.

@liviandloladesign IP infringement may result in permanent loss of your Star Seller badge and permanent closure of your actual shop and any other shops you attempt to open. Not to mention the risk of being sued. You are messing with powerful IP holders.

And no, just because there are other shops selling the same items doesn't mean it's ok.
