I shipped 4 orders today, one order with an estimated shipping date of today, Aug 5 and the other three next week. I did not enter tracking when I arrived home from the post office but planned on doing it when in bed. When I went into my orders tonight around 11:45pm, Aug 5, the first order said "Due Today". I then entered my tracking. I then entered the other 3 order trackings. When I happened to look at my Star Seller data, it showed I was missing one tracking which ended up being the one due today and my star seller percent went down. I live in Oregon and PST was still before midnight and was Aug. 5. I dont think it is fair if it goes by EST which means I need to have all tracking completed by 9:00pm PST. My time to unwind and get on my computer or phone is after 11:00 at night. I've looked and don't see anywhere where it is stated that shipping times are EST. I think it should be determined by your specific time zone where you live.
Has anyone seen anywhere this is stated? Thanks for your time.
Hello @KelleenKreations,
Please know that it may take about 24 hours after an order has been shipped for the On-time shipping score to update. Looking into your shop, we can see that your Star Seller has been updated.
On the other hand, please know that when calculating Star Seller status at the end of the month, we use UTC, not the seller's local time zone. This may be confusing because the shipping CSVs are converted to a seller's own time zone, but the cut-off for reviews and shipping details to be considered in a seller's status is 11:59 pm UTC on the last day of the month.
Thank you very much!
@KelleenKreations Your have entered the dreaded time zone trap. It seems that Etsy uses UTC for most things, but shipping seems to be based on Eastern. We also do not enter tracking until after a package is delivered to or picked up by USPS and we have run into the time zone issues when we have a very late pickup and we are in Chicago. Can't wait until tomorrow to enter tracking because yesterday is not available. After 7 pm our time and the default shipped date changes to tomorrow (even though our evening USPS pickup is usually between 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm? They have removed Sunday as a valid shipped on date even though we have a postal facility where we take packages and they are scanned as accepted on Sunday (so Etsy is forcing us to lie to our customers as to when the package was shipped). Based on the replies by Etsy staffers in these forums, Etsy will not make adjustments to Star Seller numbers even when the apparent error is Etsy's.
@KelleenKreations Using Etsy labels can do away with the process of having to enter tracking numbers and will save you money on shipping too.

I have not seen anything on this. I figured it out when I printed my shipping label after 9pm but it stated it was the next day in Etsy. I do some of my labels and post office runs later in the evening when my shop closes and I have time to process everything. I use Shipstation so it automatically tells Etsy the tracking information (which is fantastic and saves me time). This has never been an issue for me in the last 5 years! Now that they are doing the "Star Seller" Etsy is making my shop look bad by taking away my status! It was the next day for them, not me! I lose 3 hours this way and I'm not starting my work day off at 5 am just to be in their time zone. I'm in AZ and we don't change our time. I contacted support and they are looking into an issue I had with the app and it also removed my status for responding to messages late. I was guided here for the Star Seller support. So far all I am seeing is how Etsy is making everyone mad since they started the star seller thing. We should be allowed to choose if we want to be a part of it or not and customers should be able to see that. I shouldn't be punished and look like a "Meh Seller" for not meeting their criteria that doesn't matter much to me anyway. My reviews speak for themselves, not a button. Hoping to see some feedback on this one as well.
