Hi
Please can you look at my account . I think I should have got star seller . I fell short in my speedy replies. It there are messages not accounted for in the last few days of the month . I feel sure if they had been accounted for I would have been 95%

Cut off seems to be 2 or three days prior to month end. Because stats don’t update in real time you can’t count on end of month activity to be factored in to SS.

Re: Star Seller Query
Same here. I didn’t get star seller because all my messages weren’t counted. When I downloaded my history the entire last week of September was missing. Seriously! This whole star seller thing is a joke. One client sent me the same message through two different avenues. Because I responded to one and not the duplicate it counted against me.

Re: Star Seller Query
@WhiteBarnTradingCo the information in the star seller says all NEW messages must be answered or spammed. Spam the duplicate message or give it a quick I answered on the other message.
The last couple of days are usually not counted because the program works on either UTC or EST time. I believe it is UTC time.
And you might want to add your shop policies or the prrgram won't be the only thing to worry about. Shops without policies have no seller protection.

Re: Star Seller Query
I think that’s what has happened. Frustrating when it says period up to 3o September but cut off before x

Re: Star Seller Query
Well when Etsy says the review period is through the last day of the month, then yes, I should be able to count on that.

Re: Star Seller Query
I agree they don’t make that totally clear, although it does say somewhere that stats may not update immediately.

Re: Star Seller Query
And the cutoff time is always EAST coast time (Etsy headquarters location), not your shop location time!

Re: Star Seller Query
Actually I believe that they use UTZ for Star Seller, plus it seems that a message is not counted until after the 24 hour response window has passed.

Re: Star Seller Query
@WhiteBarnTradingCo: Also keep in mind that only the FIRST message of a NEW thread counts - the CSV file only contains the initial message of the new thread, not all messages.

Re: Star Seller Query
Star seller rating can be effected by many things and selling things that you do not make can ding your shop.
