Due to an error in the Star Seller on-time dispatch stat I'm being kept from qualifying as a Star Seller. Turns out, I had an order that was scheduled to be dispatched Monday, January 2, 2023. But that day was a Federal holiday in the US and the Post Office was closed nation-wide. My order was shipped on Tuesday, January 3rd. I contacted Etsy to make a correction and was told that they could not override the error. I would imagine others may have the same issue. Hopefully, with additional concerns being raised Etsy will address the issue. If not, it will happen again the next time a Federal holiday falls on a weekday.
@NewEnglandWoodcraft: Probably almost everyone on this forum can sympathize with you but as soon as a shop sees that they cannot ship an order by the scheduled ship date (for whatever reason) they need to extend the scheduled ship date.
There are many countries and therefore too many federal holidays for Etsy to keep track of. You are responsible to keeping track of the ones that will affect you. Next time a federal holiday falls on a weekday you need to plan in advance and extend your ship by date.

I had this same issue which applied to 5 packages and Etsy literally brought my store to it's knees........They stopped all traffic to my store, all my items which were "organically" on the first page in searches stopped and my monthly revenue after that went to about 10% of it's norm. (Had I been a brick and mortar store and that happened I would have had to declare bankruptcy). It has never been the same after that. It is now 9 months later and I am just getting by at about 50% of where I was 9 months ago. It is a sad sad reality that they can literally click a button and tank years of hard work and flush it right into the toilet.
