Star Seller On-Time Shipping Error when Combinding Orders

CS directed me here to post my troubles, so here it goes!

I keep getting strikes against me for Star Seller On-Time Shipping when I try and be nice and combine customers' orders to save them on shipping.

I take the two orders - process one as normal, and then Update and complete the other one, refunding the postage for the second and adding in the tracking number for the first package.

The customer gets their extra postage back, but Etsy has been saying the second shipment has failed to ship on time due to no tracking info....when going into the shipping info for the second package, it clearly has the tracking info I entered.

@Mirinesse: We combine multiple orders into a single shipment all the time - using the same tracking number on all of the orders when marking them as complete. The only issue we have seen is that the additional orders sometimes don't update the tracking status until a day or two after the package has been scanned.

I have combined orders, and it has been fine in the past. I’m trying to let them know that something is not working perfectly and that somehow shipments are slipping through and not being flagged correctly as shipped properly.

The person I used as an example received their package over a week ago, so it has had time to update.

Maybe there’s nothing wrong at all and mine was just a glitch, but if it’s not a glitch, I don’t want other people, including myself, getting penalized for doing exactly what we’re supposed to do in the time we’re supposed to do it.
