I have dropped from 100% dispatch to 87 % because my private couriered items aren't accepted as a tracking number. I select 'other' and I use the words 'courier' and the date in the text field. This is the only thing that stops me from being a star Seller and it's not even correct! How can this be fixed?
If you don't have a tracking # that is accepted then it can't be fixed.
You have to have tracking on 95% of orders to qualify for the star.
So courier and untracked mail don't qualify for star Seller then?
I think Etsy uses 17track https://www.17track.net to locate and update the tracking info to orders. If your couriers tracking info is not updated there, then there's no way for Etsy to track your packages. Entering the courier's actual name might be helpful for the customer too, instead of leaving it vague as "courier"
What do you mean "private courier"? And do they not have tracking? Putting in the date and "courier" isn't enough information for Etsy to prove tracking.
Perhaps they're delivering it themselves. A few times I've had orders in the town I'm based and so have hand delivered it rather than posted it, but obviously that can't be tracked.
Yes that is right, local deliveries that I have delivered. I put the date the parcel will be delivered in the notes and in the tracking number field.
I don't think it's fair as I have completed the jobs on time. I understand etsy need to track items in case there is an issue but if I've put in the notes that it will be delivered on a certain date (and have proof) then as the seller I'd be happy to be held accountable from there on ?
