Star Seller - Messages

Summer is a slower time of year for my business and it turns out I haven't received any messages from customers since June. I was surprised to see that my speedy response badge has been taken away since I had no messages during this star seller period. I've had 36 orders during this period so it's not like the shop wasn't operating. It seems strange to be negatively impacted for not receiving any messages, I cannot control that metric.

I get being held to answering the messages, reviews, and shipping time -- but I can't do anything to make sure people send me messages so that I can keep that rating.

Seems like that feature wasn't well thought out.

@LoveCityPrintCo: "... my speedy response badge has been taken away ..." I don't think that it was taken away but rather that it could not be awarded because there was nothing to measure during the three month period.

"It seems strange to be negatively impacted for not receiving any messages ..." According to Etsy "If you don’t receive any messages during the review period, the message response rate won’t be counted towards your Star Seller eligibility." https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403058372503-How-to-Become-a-Star-Seller?segment=selling so if you meet the requirements for shipping and reviews you would still get Star Seller.
