Star Seller Issues with calculation of message response rate

Last month I was disqualified from Star seller because I had  both a message stream and a help request open for the same customer.  They were asking for a refund, which I promptly gave them, then supplied a message on the refund paperwork then messaged them in the message stream where the background and context was instead of the Help request.  Point is, customer got service but had multiple avenues of communication open, I was not even aware a help request was counted as a message, it does not look like a message on the seller app.

Now I will tell you how I feel personally about this situation, very frustrated!  Since this star seller ranking came out I have only obtained it one or twice most usually because of simple issues like the one described above.  I know there is a great deal of benefits from star seller and increased sales and I certainly try my hardest to live up to the expectations, 100% in the other two categories.  Is there any human behind this system who would be able to rationalize this situation and give me the Star seller ranking?  My sales disappeared after I lost the ranking......

But there really are not any actual benefits to having the star at this point. Plus most shoppers have no idea about the star. Try not to stress about it too much at least at this point since there are zero actual benefits to having it. I suspect that they may add some in the future but right now there are zero real benefits to the star.

I have 50% message response, because of a spam message. I get about 95% convo messages. Some, not at all. My app is up to date.

There is a solution to that - just mark the spam messages as spam. I know, it's crazy!

"I know there is a great deal of benefits from star seller and increased sales".....Ummmmmmmm.......I have seen zero benefits of having it and no increase in sales. My sales actually went down after receiving it for the first time. Your drop in sales is more likely just a coincidence, as online sales often have ebbs and flows. 

And no, there is no human being in this operation that can give you the little star.

Thank goodness, No.  It wouldn't be fair to all of us that follow the rules if rule-breakers were given a free pass.
