Sold item will not show as active - bug

I had an item set to auto-renew after selling.  I've sold multiples of this item.  This time, when it sold, it will not renew.
I thought I was distracted and simply needed to put it over into Active, but when I went to see it in the active shop, it still didn't show up.  Back to the Dashboard, and there it is inactive again.  I have no idea why, it doesn't have a banner saying Etsy put it in Inactive; I've not received an email about it either

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Check your email. Evidently an Etsy bot deactivated it.

@NanaLetha Well, after 5 minutes it suddenly showed up. 
Some sort of an odd delay?  I'll leave this in case someone else experiences the same weirdness, but basically, it worked itself out.  I wonder if a bot deactivated it and then changed its mind.

Great, now I need to research how to successfully delve into the murky underworld of Etsy to find out if a bot is deactivating this.

OK, I called, and they were unable to make the item remain active as well so I should get a call back from Technical Support in 24-48 hrs.
