It is hard work and takes a lot of time to run a busy shop. Why is Etsy suddenly making me do these slide captcha puzzles just to send messages to my buyers? Please make it stop! I know it's unlikely Etsy personnel will read this, but I scream into the void: WHY, ETSY, WHY? Please make it stop. I am trying to communicate with my buyers. I write a message, and I have to do this captcha sliding puzzle thing, and then my message I just wrote has disappeared and I have to re-write it. WHY? WHY? There's enough time-consuming work here without adding more.

Hi, I'm confused as to why you're getting the Captcha when trying to write your Buyers a Message. Usually the Captcha thingy happens when you try to Sign In.
exactly, so that's why I'm posting about it here
Did you log in first?
I am perpetually logged in. I never log out. I've never seen this before. It's been happening for the last couple of days.
The captcha is a security measure to keep bots from hacking in and using your account. It is for your protection. Slide the puzzle piece over onto the grayed out puzzle piece. Done. You should then be able to write your message.
I've seen this just recently. It may be a test, who knows?
I know what captcha is for. I am hoping an Etsy mod will look at this because they might know why this is happening randomly without reason.
@BlackMarketChicago I haven't seen this. I guess the best way to handle it when it is force fed is to copy the message you just typed before completing the puzzle. Then if it is gone you can just paste the message you just copied into the box.
I have been doing that. I want it to stop and that's why I'm posting here. I will get a callback from Etsy to have them look into it.

I think I got it when messaging too.
Looks like @FabioMcMustache reported it and it stopped.
Thanks for a solid lead on this. @FabioMcMustache , can you please assist? This is happening again. It is random.
