Hello everyone! I’ve started my shop about almost two weeks. I’ve tried to search my products on etsy but they don’t show up. I believe my store is not indexed. How can I solve this? Thank you so much in advance!
have a lovely day!
your shop is indexed.
hello, I am having the same issue with my shop not being indexed. Can I get my shop indexed?
You have to contact Etsy and tell them your shop is not indexed--we here in the forum are just other sellers and can do nothing to help you in this regard.
Are you using all 13 tags with 2-3 word phrases?
Not sure if every listing has 13 tags but Im sure they have 2-3 words each tag
@QuirkyRags As @NanaLetha says, your shop is indexed. The way to test, is to view your shop, and do a search within your shop for something - I searched for "tee" and all the listings showed up.
However, when I copy-pasted the title of one of your listings, it didn't show in results until page 6, which shouldn't happen in my opinion. I'm not sure what is going on with that, but I tested with one of my items - copy/paste the entire title into the search box, and my listing showed first, which is what you'd expect as an exact match. I was a bit surprised, because I just came off of vaca mode only a few hours ago.
@PillowDetails: Keep in mind that if everyone on this forum searched for the exact same phrase they would all get different results. Because of "personalized searches" you can NOT rely on anyone's search results to define how your listing is ranked or where it will be displayed. And while it seems logical that an exact word match would always be at the top of search results, it appears that importance given to an exact match (in the overall calculation of relevancy) has decreased significantly.
@NanaLetha @PillowDetails Thank you so much for your very quick reply ! Thank you for helping me with that.
regarding the fact that my listing only shows up on page 6… is there anything I can do about that? Or is it because my listing has less than 30 days?
Hi All
i ve the same issue
Can anyone help me to know at least if my shop is indexed?
I search by the name of my shop but the engine shows 0 results
@DarLbaldi
Your shop is not indexed.
@DarLbaldi You listed your first item today. Typically, it takes a few days for a new shop to be indexed.
If it hasn't been indexed within the next few days, you'll need to contact Support and mention ''shop not indexed''.
@Adorabilities thnks a lot
You know How can i fix this?
You have to contact Etsy to let them know. (Or if your shop is new, you need to wait.)
ok i will wait and i hope it will be solved in the next few days Thanks again for your feedback and have a good day!
Does anyone know why our brand does not appear if I search for it? If I put "curveez" which is the name of the brand, it brings up the store, but if I don't put the "", it doesn't find any product although all of them have the title with the word Curveez and it is also as a tag.
@Curveez: None of us is privy to the true inner workings of Etsy search, but best guess would be that the search algorithm is 'correcting' the spelling and searching for that term instead.
@Curveez I searched Etsy for 'curveez' and it returned one listing (Signature Control High Waist Boy Short). You don't have your shop name in the title on that one. I can't check your tags because Etsy is not currently showing them (it's a test).
I'm in the UK - looks like the above is the only listing which ships to my country. What country do you have set in your user settings? (This is different to shop settings)
@Curveez You shouldn't be posting in an old thread. This thread is over 2 years old
Exactly @amaradorn , that product is one of the only ones that doesn't have the brand in the title as it was a test, and the weird thing is that is the only one that appears if you search Curveez. It behaves the other way around.
@Curveez check your (user) region setting. Look bottom left of any search page.
Here's a curiousity... when I search on google for my listing using the exact title, it comes up on listed on Etsy but as "unuavailable" . It is available.... wonder why this happens..
