Shop icon pic keeps coming out sideways!

Hi there, it's just a small thing but it's really bugging me. I keep trying to upload a new shop icon pic and it just keeps on uploading sideways. I'm not very techy so perhaps it's something obvious I'm doing or not doing! Any advice would be most appreciated.

Scroll down to "image rotation". 

Open your photo in photo-editing software. Rotate it. Rename it, and save. Then re-upload it.

Thank you for the pointer - I tried simply making the image size smaller and that worked!

I did not rotate the image. It rotated by itself once I uploaded it.
