Shop Policies setup

Jump to solution

Hi helpful Etsy Community,

I'm trying to modify my shop policies; I've got the cookie-cutter ones in place (accept returns, 30 days, etc), but I'd like to add customized ones with my own verbage.  I don't see any way to do that.  The Seller handbook is not very clear.

I've been a seller here since 2010, and I think it might have to do with something I read about with "classic shop policies".

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can't add your own.  You can change the 30 day.  It's a drop down if you want less.  So you can use a different return on different listings.

But you cannot add your own wording.  And adding it in FAQs does not work either.  Faqs are not part of shop policies.

@BrimstoneHillDesigns: If I understand your question correctly, it seems that you will no longer be able to have custom policies only the choices that Etsy has decided you will be allowed.

Ah, ok, thank you.

Yeah I noticed that some shops had particular policies like 'I ship only to the address provided in the order, and wont' change it after the order has been placed'.  (There seems to be a thing with buyers doing that, and sometimes it's legit, and sometimes it's fraudulent.)

Too bad.  Thanks everyone.
