Shop Assist from Etsy

I received a message from Shop Assist that took me off of the Etsy site and requested card information. Is this indeed an Etsy message?

It is not! Be glad you asked because some peeps have been robbed of hundreds and thousands of dollars.

These scammers try to trap new shops with their various tricks.

There is a lot of good info to be read here, maybe someone else can provide the links.

Also, if the message is not in the FROM ETSY folder, it is a fake.

Scams are a plenty for new shop owners. They eventually stop. I haven't had a message in a very long time -- I used to have one every day, easily, if not twice a day when I first started in April of this year.
