France has this Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) rules.

I am not registered, because e.g. the registration for the packaging regulation is too expensive for my few sales to France per year.
I have actually specified EU for my shipping and unfortunately cannot exclude France. That would be very practical, because now I would actually have to specify each country individually for shipping. I now only have the option of contacting customers from France when placing an order and cancelling the order.
It would be very helpful if Etsy could find a solution to this issue.
Can't you edit your shipping profile to exclude France?
No, exclusion isn't available.
Np, exclusion isn't possible.
No, editing shipping profiles to remove individual countries from the predefined groupings is only available to US sellers. The rest of the world don't have that option.
The only way would be to remove the EU and Everywhere Else groupings, and listing every single country you want to list to individually.
It's not just France, it's Germany, and most of the EU
germany, spain, France, greece - and for greece, you have to apply in greek, and pay a local representative ..... etc etc,
this is the full list and requirements
In Germany, I pay by annual weight for the estimated packaging quantity. France has a different system that takes no account of small businesses.
they all have different rules,
sign up to them all individually, or stop shipping there
I don't ship there any more
The fees vary by country from $10 in Germany up to over $165 for France, per year. They also all have different requirements on how much you ship. I believe there are about 27 countries in the UK and EU that have these laws. Someone said you are exempt in some countries if you don't ship much, but the requirements and fees vary for each country. You have to research each one.
the UK threshold is more than £2million in sales, AND over 50 tonnes in packaging a year, before you have to pay
I doubt anyone here is selling that much just to the UK.
Thanks so much for your information. I haven't been able to find out much. I just recently started selling to France (after quitting international selling a while ago) and just quit all international again. If I quit selling Internationally, will I need to comply?
