Star Seller error

When I have a buyer do local pickup there is no tracking number and I always check the box for local pickup meaning it won't be mailed. But Etsy counts it as 2 orders with no tracking and lowers my Star seller  on time rating rating in error.. What can be done?

@catalinaglass: "What can be done?" Nothing for Star Seller. There are two separate metrics here - 1) did you complete the order on time for general shop compliance, and 2) did you ship on time with verifiable tracking for Star Seller.

All physical listing orders must include a valid tracking number or a shipping label purchased on Etsy to be considered for a Star Seller badge. At this time, we’re unable to make exceptions for local pickup orders.

This also applies to delivery orders.

As eloquently said above.  Nothing can be done.  The rules are quite clear.

Local pickup is a service option you choose to offer.  It is not one Etsy includes in Star Seller calculations simply because it is not verifiable.  You need to decide for yourself what is more important to you, providing a local pickup service for local customers to save them money, or making the buyer pay for unnecessary postage so that you can get a badge from Etsy that is supposed to represent excellent customer service, but may require you to lower service levels to acquire it.

Personally, to me it is a no brainer. There is a reason it's called customer service, and not Etsy service.

It is not an error.  You have no tracking number for the order so you get dinged! Sorry.
