Shipping label slash

I went to print a label and when i bought it the address was correct and had a '/' in between two numbers for part of their address. When i went to print it, it came out with a bunch of letters, numbers, & signs and hashtags instead of the slash. Does anyone know why this happens? It never happened to me before. Also if i ship it like that will it ship or be sent back to me? Because when I purchased it the address was right but now when i go to the print page, it has random characters instead of '/'.

@cloudycostudios   If you can, edit the address and put a - (hyphen) instead of the / (slash).  I would not send with the garbled characters.

If you can't edit the address, cancel it and request a refund, then make a new label with a - (hyphen).

thank you!! would it still ship if i covered the random letters fully and wrote 1/2 instead?

@cloudycostudios   It might.  To be sure you could do as you suggest and take it to your local P.O. and show a clerk.  Ask if they think it will ship okay.

My concern would be what got translated into the barcode from the gobbled characters.

okay i actually just requested a refund for the messed up label and printed a new one with a hyphen. Thank you for your help!

I just had the same issue. Did your new label with the hyphen make it to the correct destination?
