Shipping Label Failed to Purchase?

I am attempting to create a shipping label for an order shipping on Monday.  The address and all details are correct, but I get this error message every time:

You just purchased 0 labels

1 label failed to purchase

 Is anyone else having this problem?

Try cleaning out cache and cookies.  Reboot. Use a different browser.  Clean computer.  

Do make sure by checking you shop payment account that it didn;t go through though.

Canada Post prices change on Monday, and others have reported issues with them right now: https://community.etsy.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Etsy-shipping-labels-Canada/m-p/139645358 so Etsy is likely updating things.

@cindylouwho2  Thanks Cindy.  I have tried all of the usual fixes and still cannot create a label.  I will wait and try again tomorrow night.  If all else fails, there is always CP snap ship.

@BobbiThisnThat someone else was able to print by using today's date, but I understand you may not want to do that. 

I'm looking forward to Monday to see if tracked packet to the US is really going to be that much cheaper. For my rates, it is only 50 cents less than small packet! (But Canada Post has made errors on price updates in the past, so I don't want to get too excited...)

Yes, I decided to try and date it for tomorrow and it went through just fine...........  Would it be too difficult for Etsy to put an announcement on our dashboard, or a banner when trying to create a label, instead of our thinking it is a tech issue?  geez............

@IncellEmporium the fact you are in the US means this potentially is a broader issue.

Having the same problem and came here to see if anyone else is having this problem. Thanks Cindy, I forgot that CP rates are changing Monday,  a notice from Etsy would've been nice.

Ha, although I am not shipping until Monday - I left the date to today, Sunday and it worked. So this tells me the answer is correct!

It will show the new price for shipping on Monday, but will not allow purchase. 

Cost today for a small packet to US under 100 grams is $8.02, plus $1.14 fuel surcharge less .67 discount for a total of $8.49

Cost Monday for the same small packet is $8.34, plus $1.18 fuel surcharge less .70 discount for a total of $8.82:(

(of course, individual discount levels may vary)

@BobbiThisnThat That's the rate I get for today as well. My Monday rate is only $7.64 plus surcharge, though (assuming the guide CP sent is correct, because I remember a few times when it wasn't). Are you keeping a Solutions for Small Business Account so you can use labels on Etsy? Seems there is something wonky with rates here for a few days now. 

Shippo won't give me new rates for tomorrow yet, but the US tracked packet is supposed to go down to $8.11 plus surcharge, down from $10.58. That's only 47 cents (plus surcharge) more than small packet, so I will be switching. Just not changing my rates til I see that for real, though!

@cindylouwho2Yes, I have the business account, and *I think* at am the highest discount level (don't quote me on that lol:)  I create all shipping labels on Etsy, just too much extra work to use Snap Ship for everything. I wonder why we are seeing different rates for tomorrow? 
It would be super if the tracked packet rates do go down that much though.  Being able to ship with tracking would be a huge stress saver.  Now, if we could only ship tracked within Canada affordably!

@BobbiThisnThat I have a commercial contract, which usually isn't much different than the top level of SFSB for untracked, but tends to have much lower tracked rates. Downside is I cannot use Etsy for labels because they only integrate SFSB, not commercial accounts. So I use Shippo, but as of last week they aren't letting me print my untracked items without updating the shipment on Etsy any more, so I may have to print same day only from here on in, which would suck. I have a ticket in about that now. 

Can't you download your new rates from Canada Post? That used to be right in the profile for SFSB. 

I suspect you are eligible for a much better contract than I am, since I am slowly cutting down on jewellery selling. You might want to look into it, as the tracked rate difference can be huge.

I can confirm that I am getting a total of $9.49 for US tracked packet with this week's fuel surcharge, so only 55 cents more than small packet, and a huge reduction from what I would have paid for the same service today. I will be changing all of my notifications to advertise US tracked shipping as of tomorrow, especially since that 55 cents is cheaper than self insuring and especially than buying third-party insurance. 

Sadly, that's the only country that went down in price, but since the majority of my packages used to go US small packet, it's a big bonus.

I'm having this issue today. It's really random which labels go through bc sometimes it goes through if I try one at a time, but theres a couple labels that i cant purchase. I'm also having an issue where I click 'print' on the shipping label, and the window that pops up that would usually be the downloaded PDF, it brings me to the order page. Like the link is broken, and  I cant open or print the shipping labels i've already purchased. Anyone else??

I just purchased a label just fine, and them the next kept saying failed to purchase, I did put the date out on thursday because thats the day I will ship it, so I dont know what the issue is because the other one was also for thursday and that one went through

I am having this same problem tonight. I have it set to shop tomorrow (Saturday) and cannot print/purchase a label. Any suggestions?
