Every time I share a Share & Save link either from the drop down on the item on listings page or via the header on the listing itself, I am being told by my clients that it takes them to the direct shop and not to the actual item listing. Is anyone else having this issue and is there a workaround?
I chatted with Etsy yesterday but didn't really get anywhere with it.

I am also having this same problem. Customers are telling me that when I send them the Share & Save link it takes them to my shops homepage instead of the listing I set up for them. I had one customer say that it didn't work on mobile, but when they got onto their desktop computer the link worked there. This is obviously a glitch.
Yes has happened to me multiple times!
Admins, please fix this! It's very frustrating for our customers when the direct s&s links don't send them where I'm telling them it should be sending them. And on my end, it works fine but when over 10 customers have had the exact issue @PartyBeeInvitations has explained, it's clearly a technical error on your end. I have also tried copying the link from a direct listing on my Etsy page as well as using the "share" button inside the edit feature. Neither work. See my latest customer thread for proof.
My links are still not working, at this point I don't even care about the share and save I just want to be able to send a link! I did a test on them and it seems like it is working when you open the links on a computer but when someone opens it on their phones it wont work. When I send my customers links they all say it sends them to my shop not the specific item I am trying to send them.
I just tested mine on Pinterest. The link looks like it will just go to your shop but when I click on it, it goes to the individual item.
I chatted with Etsy yesterday about this. They emailed me later with a "fix". They said it is taking customers to the shop and not the direct link because the save and share link is to be shared outside of Etsy not within???? So I asked how are we supposed to share links within because that's where my customers are messaging us! No response yet.
Some of my customers told me that it took them to my shop when I sent it to them the first time. But when I sent it to them the second time it went to the actual product listing. It happened twice already, to 2 different customers. Looks like it's Etsy's bug.
I used to use the Share link. That has now become a Share and Save link. I use it within and without Etsy. So ask the help folks what happened to the Share within Etsy link is ... I think it's all the same link.
Mine usually works but there have been times customers have told me they were having difficulty with it. When that happens I put the listing in a category with only a few listings so that they can find their listing that way.
@MajkApparel: "They said it is taking customers to the shop and not the direct link because the save and share link is to be shared outside of Etsy not within????" Chat can only give you the answers they are provided with and clearly they have been misinformed. The link SHOULD work everywhere but only give you the savings when shared off of Etsy. This does appear to be a misconfiguration issue on Etsy's side.
Right, and at this point I just want to be able to share links with my customers again I don't even care about the share and save aspect! Since they made that change my links haven't worked.
Starting in November, I no longer receive any credits by Share and Save. I used to get credits prior to that, and I have always been sending my customers the links via Etsy messaging. I spoke to Etsy just now, they said there are 2 possibilities - 1 is that the customer clicked the link 30 days after I shared it, and 2 is that the customer actually clicked on a link not shared by me when they placed the order. Funny thing is, that it is a brand new listing that I just created a few hours ago, and I sent the link to my customer, who then placed an order straight away. it is impossible that it would fit into any of the 2 reasons Etsy gave me. I asked them to investigate further, and they refused, saying that those were the only 2 reasons that I wasn't credited, and they could not help further.
This is my guess, and it is just a guess. I believe Etsy is focusing on having these links on other sites so when it is clicked it is providing a back link which is important for SEO and helpful in Google ranking. Probably looking more for saturating social media platforms with Etsy related products.
I just read under the 'Share and Save' section in the Shop Manager the following 3 reasons for not getting credits:
In the past, I got credits by sharing via Etsy messages (point 2 above). It no longer works that way. They must have changed it only starting in November as that's when I no longer get credits.
Yep, we've been having this issue for a little while now too.
