When I click into an order to send a message, the 'send' button remains outlined in blue and the message does not send. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks! Although this seems to be a different issue - when I click 'send' the message is not sending at all.
This is still an issue today. Send button is clickable, but the message doesn't send, at all!
I'm having this same issue. It's like the button is totally dead and nothing happens.

@SpringMeadowCo The Etsy post says even though it does not look like it's sending, it is in fact sending.
I'm not sure it is - when I click on the customers profile to view 'message history' there is none and when looking in the 'sent' messages tab it is not showing up.
I'm pretty sure this is a different issue. I had the issue you mentioned as well but in that instance, when I went into messages the reply I had sent was there. With this issue it's like the button is actually broken where it literally does not respond when you click it and the message still stays there live and editable after you click send. At least that's my experience.
I'm also having problems with the "send" button not working today. These are on new messages that I'm trying to send to customers and there is nothing in my Sent history either. Since that technical issue was flagged by Etsy a week ago, it's not clear if this is part of that problem or something new.
It appears to be something new - the messages are not sending.
The solution posted above is more of an 'organizational' change/issue - the messages are still sending, just not appearing in the order section.
I am having the same problem. It may have just happened in the last few hours, as I sent another confirmation message for a previous order earlier this morning. Regarding this new order, I checked my messages after pushing "send" (bold blue outline around "send" after I pushed it) and the confirmation I tried to send (2 times) wasn't there, so I went to this customer's Etsy page and sent the confirmation to her that way. That worked just fine.
Thanks for the tip - this will help in the meantime as we wait for Etsy to solve.
@SpringMeadowCo I had to do the same thing as @FishBayElements . I needed to use messages to send a proof to a customer. I couldn't send it thru the order page.

I'm having issues too. I sent a message fine this morning but now the button just appears to do nothing.
I hope it isn't actually sending the message as my customer will receive about six of the same message from me now!
Same here. And if it is working and we're just not seeing it, my customer will get a bunch of the same message. Embarrassing!!!
Same issues as you guys...and I checked my sent messages to see if it actually sent and it did not. Hope this gets fixed soon!
I'm having issues as well. Using the workaround mentioned above for now. But I have 20 orders I'm working on and have to send messages for all. Ugh.
Having the same issue. There is NO "older thread" for that buyer, nothing appears as sent.
@ArtfulBeginnings You can start a message by using the compose button.

Its really annoying the way Etsy have totally messed up the messaging system. It worked perfectly before - and now customers are complaining they cant find messages - or dont realise they are all listed in one group. And the really annoying aspect of not being able to read messages in my own inbox e.g gmail - and having to click through to etsys message page makes tracking so much harder. I get tons of messages a week and the way they do things now is a mess. Plus the send button not even working now when Im replying to an order - i have to go to users profile to send or do it from the app.
