I found early this morning that someone hacked my seller account, added a bunch of T-Shirt listings, then hacked other accounts to make sales. The hacker also put their bank account in the payments and mailing address in my profile.
I got a few messages from the buyer's whose accounts were hacked in the sales. The best I could do is tell them my account was hacked and they should contact their bank/credit card companies. Also, that I emailed Etsy about it. I deactivated the listings, changed my password to a randomly generated one and set up 2-stage login. I tried to close my store, but it wants me to pay for the fees this incurred before I do so.
This is making me sick. It annoys me to no end that Etsy no longer has a phone number I can call to get this fixed.
I'm very sorry to see this, Tracer. We've referred this to the appropriate team, and you should hear back with resolution soon. I'll close this up in the meantime. Thanks!
Already did these things.
"changed my password to a randomly generated one and set up 2-stage login."
I do hope you used a different device for that. You need to run a check of your computer immediately.
