even when the seller does not have the badge.

I was looking at a new shop with no sales and therefore none of the Star Seller badges, but when I click on their listings and scroll down to Meet your seller, they have the purple star.

Again, I'm seeing it on all listings, including those from sellers who don't have any of the badges.

Some are seeing what I'm seeing and others are not.  Maybe I'm in a test?

With her permission, I took screenshots of @leinweberstudio shop to show what I'm seeing.

No sales? I see 447 sales in the shop. I don't see the purple star anywhere.

I think that @Former_Member 's first remark concerns a shop he saw earlier with no sales, but chose not to show that one over forum regulation concerns.

I gave him permission to show mine, and yes, I do have sales.

And no, not all sellers are seeing this, but it has been mentioned several times now all over the forums, in different threads.

Going to @leinweberstudio shop's main page I see nothing regarding the Star Seller Badge. I do see the Etsy blurb that this is a "Top Shop for Gifts".

However, clicking on the listing for Halloween Pads Cats & Owls, when scrolling down past the description, etc. I arrive at the "Meet Your Seller" where the link to message the seller is & yes, I see "Star Seller" above Sylvia.

Hey, since it's on 158 listing pages, I guess 158 stars is better than one, or none.

I see it.  Have been seeing it for a few days.  Mentioned in a thread that was a promo thread.  Nobody else could see it.  Then the thread got poofed because I had reported it.  I think it has to do with the new Invisible Description and Shipping set up.  When they changed the code they added Star Seller to everyone in the Meet Your Seller link.

@Former_Member I see exactly what you see. The purple star is there when you click on one of @leinweberstudio 's listings, but nowhere on the front page. How bizarre.

I looked at several listings in the shop, and I didn't see it there in any of the listings I looked at.

This is most likely because you are not in the test. You only see the one in the screenshot because @Former_Member is in the test and he copied it here.

i am not seeing the star in the listing under meet the seller.

usually i am in every test!

i feel so left out.

i think the programmers in the basement are having fun again and hoping sellers do not notice what they are up to.

p.s. now i have simply reds song stars in my head.

oh and now holding back the years.

This was useful to post the screen shots, and great that you asked permission.  I am not seeing this, even in listings where the Seller is a star seller.  Another test.

Etsy had to have been working hard on that this week, rather than  ... oh, you know - OTHER things.

I’m seeing stars in the reported location on individual listings on every shop I look at a listing in, including my own and I have not got or ever likely to get that badge! Ive been seeing it for a couple of days but thought little of it, the programmers fubarring it again…
