Hello everyone.
I can't get my six-digit security code while login process.
So I can not login my account, checking my store etc.
I can reset my password via e-mail, but can't login anyway.
Is there any solution about this?
Note: This is my second account.
Hi there @BearBearPrintShop
We have escalated the matter to account security team who will be handling the matter.
Thank you!

Hello, I managed to log in to my account, but I cannot turn off double-factor authentication because it still sends SMS verification to my phone number? There are two zeros at the beginning of my number as +900, normally it should be a single one, I need to change my phone number to change this, but I cannot do that, please help me.
I had the same issue. Make sure that you are not blocking Etsy as spam on your phone.
I have the same problem and I can't log in for a week. I tried all the apps and different browsers but I still get the message that the code has been sent but the code doesn't come anywhere.
I'm waiting @ModMatt - thanks.
I turned on two factor authentication, so anyone who tries to sign in to account from a new device or browser will need to verify that they're allowed to.
This didn't go well. The system didn't recognize my 3 devices (used everyday) so that I would not have to obtain verification code every time I signed in. Personally, I don't have the time to obtain a security code for my daily used devices each time I sign in.
Also, many times when signing into Etsy I received the message to verify that I'm a human. This is so annoying. Some times the system would ask me to verify several times for one login. These are devices I use every day.
Hopefully technical services will correct these issues.
Hi @ModMatthave @BearBearPrintShop ,
Have you had any feedback from technical support about the problem with the security code?
I no longer receive them and I no longer have access to the regeneration of backup codes on my Etsy account.
Is there a problem with the etsy seller accounts? Or has the backup code generation page been moved elsewhere?
I don't understand what's going on lately with etsy account access?!
Thank you for your reply.
@DazzlingAccents: Two Factor Authorization (2FA) and reCaptcha are two different protocols and have nothing to do with each other and each has its own mechanism for determining when they will come into play. Enabling or disabling 2FA should have no effect on being asked if you are a human.
I am having the same no security code sent
So I can't SmithbyEvelyn
Hello there,
No, I haven't got any answer from Etsy.
I able to login with my backup codes but not getting any SMS still.
It is a joke.
Note: I'm the creator of this thread btw.
Hello hello @CalmThink ,
Thank you for your answer.
After several attempts, I was able to access my data. But this sms system doesn't work very well.
Well we'll see if things improve soon...
Have a nice week end and thanks again for your answer.
You wrote SmithByEvelyn, but your shop is SmthbyEvelyn, are you using the right name?
Hello everyone,
I think I should update because I opened this issue.
The code problem continues for the past two months.
For this reason, you can use the "Backup codes" given to you when you register for the first time.
Log in and cancel 2FA after use.
Because those "Backup codes" can be used once.
I hope it helps someone.

This does not work, I have tried several of the back up codes to turn off the 2FA but they won't work to do that, keeps saying incorrect token.
I am trying to turn 2FA off for now as it I am not getting the codes and I can't find where to scan the qr code to add back into authenticator.
I'm having the same problem.
I used the backup codes a few times. When I try to turn off 2FA, it asks for the code again and I do not receive the code message. I have no idea what to do when I run out of backup codes.
I contacted Etsy support. After verifying some information, they were able to get the 2FA turned off and then I was able to turn it back on again and make sure that I had all of the back up codes and the Authenticator set up properly. No more issues at this time. My problem the first time is I did not get the Authenticator app set up properly as I missed the screen to scan the QR code with my mobile phone. Make sure you do this as well as write down all of your backup codes.
PROBLEM SOLVED. I contacted the same way and after a few verifications, 2FA was turned off.
JimmieZShop: how did you contact them? Email support? I am having the same issue. No back up codes, not the same phone number anymore, can't get logged in because I can't get the security code. I tried the chat and that was worthless. I have tried the email option twice with no answer yet and I have outstanding orders I have to get out.
Hello, Have you found a way to contact support? I have the same issue, and I would be very grateful for advice
I am having the same problem, right now I am not receiving the 6 digit security code.
@ExploraVisionStudios: This is an old thread so Etsy mods may shut it down.
Have you tried one of the backup codes you were given at the time you set up two factor authorization (2FA)?
If that does not work you may want to consider starting a new thread or contacting Etsy to disable your existing 2FA.
