This is insane. The seller shipped to a completely different address than the one that is on the shipping label provided by etsy. He cannot show proof of my address bring the one printed on the item, which was 1390.00 usd. It was delivered 2 days ago to California, I reside in NJ, and the seller already has access to the funds! Insane! I didnt receive the order and have to wait 48 hours to open a blatantly obvious act of fraud by the seller??. The seller is saying he printed out and blames etsy and the post office. I feel the seller changed the address since there were 2 shipping labels created for this order and accidentily he sent me the first one.
I am freaking out right now in all honesty. Waiting to open a case with such a blatant anount of proof of fraud is the hardest thing ever, with the seller blaming everybody but himself.
Whatever the case is, item was shipped elsewhere and i didnt receive it and the open case option is not working.
Hate this.

If you'd rather not wait go to your method of payment, which is hopefully a credit card. They're more efficient and more on your side than Etsy will ever be.
This looks like it was an expensive mistake on the sellers part, rather than deliberate fraud
they should refund, if you don't want to wait for etsy, then go to your credit card provider - I would
It could have started as an innocent mistake on the sellers part but they aren't owning up to the mistake which is a problem as a random addresses across the country shouldn't happen if it's Etsy or the shippers mistake. Most likely they accidentally put the wrong label on your package as I can't imagine they'd make such a mistake by accident. So blaming Etsy wasn't the right move. If they truly printed the label off of Etsy then there is no way the wrong address was printed as it will only print the address on the order.
I'd first try and work with them to see if they can make this right. If they won't then you can try to open a case against them. If that fails then I'd contact your credit card company.
Just want to mention that I've seen confusing tracking due to USPS recycling tracking numbers. Check to see if the origin / first scan was in the city / state that the Seller resides. It may still be on the way. (I've seen this myself, as a Buyer!)
In any case, I hope it works out for you!
It could be the seller had several different orders and put the wrong label on your package. I would open a case with Etsy and give them the tracking number and it showing delivery in CA. Also, contact your credit card company. The seller either put your label on the wrong package or they did this on purpose. They owe you either a replacement or full refund.
Hi, I'm an ETSY Seller (soon to be former one). I just shipped something to England per the customers info but the label generated by ETSY sent it to another address in Germany so this does happen. I tried to contact ETSY and they are completely unhelpful. I'm searching to see if someone else could have changed the address or if ETSY has a bug. I wouldn't be so quick to blame the seller. Now I'm out 6 hours of my time (back and forth with ETSY), $ for product and have an unhappy customer.
