Curious if anyone else is experiencing this. For the last month or so, I've had this weird bug where the same listing sells on the same day (they're made to order), and the ship dates are different. It only happens when the ship date falls on a Friday or Monday, I don't ship on weekends. This weekend I have received 7 orders and they are all set to ship on a Monday, except for the most recent order just placed this morning which is set to ship on the Friday before the orders that came before it. And it's the same exact listing. Weird.
It's not really a problem since I factor in extra time anyway, but I just thought it was an odd issue.
@CraftsmanOakDesigns: Sometimes this is an issue of poorly coded time zone conversions (which is affected by what the time the order was accepted) and only the displayed date is incorrect.
A quick check is to go to 'Update Ship By Date' and see what the original ship by date is in the drop down.
@BagmakerSupply good idea, I didn't think about that. It still has the same ship dates though. Just weird because if it was strictly a time zone issue, an order placed on Sunday shouldn't be due to ship before an order place on Friday, 2 days prior.
@CraftsmanOakDesigns: What we have noticed is that ever since Etsy started factoring in USPS Postal Holidays, late in the day (after midnight for the calculation routine) orders often have an earlier ship by date. It does seem to have something to do with time zone conversions getting confused if the 'holiday' should be included in the calculation.
Your orders that are set to ship on Monday (tomorrow) need to be extended out by 1 day because Monday is Labor Day and the PO is closed!
@TBQSC not to worry, I have a 4 week processing time so the dates are a month out
I am having this issue too. Two orders - same product/same shipping profile order 3 minutes apart 9:50 AM, 9:53 AM both US eastern and central time zones. Both should be shipping for the 4th instead one is and the other is the 3rd. Its not an issue when its not busy but when we try to get orders out in order it throws everything off. I reached out to support and they told me its a bug but it sounds now like they are aware of it. Has anyone solved it? I tried redoing my shipping profiles to see if that helps.
@PartonPrints I've just learned to accept it, it's getting worse for my orders. A couple weeks ago I had an order placed on a Monday that is set to ship before an order placed on the Thursday the week before, 4 days before it. Same listing, same shipping profile obviously, same time zone even for the two orders. It just doesn't make any sense, I think it's some weird bug in the system.
